Stop Free Market Death Panels

It’s easy to dismiss someone with a sign saying “Obama Wants to Pull the Plug on Grandma!” below a picture of him portrayed as a Nazi. Besides the obvious falsehoods involved, it begs a serious question. What kind of sign should we be making for the free market death panels that operate regularly out of every insurance outfit in the United States?

First of all, they must all be written in the past tense and about real people. Such as “Cigna Killed My 17 Year Old Daughter!” or a more generic “My Grandma Died of a Typo!

Those that have gotten so excited about these imaginary government death panels should be just as upset and potentially violent about the real death panels within the bowels of the American insurance industry. You’d think the great American people would get angry with a death panel actually killing people before going to all the trouble of making a sign for an imaginary government execution committee. This is a perfect example of the inherent wrongness of misinformation, but the insurance industry lobbyists that pulled this off will be rewarded for their successful duping of Joe six packs across the nation.

Unfortunately, I think those with the Obama as Hitler signs claiming Herr Barack will pull grandma’s plug to cut costs were already waiting for something they could frame around the neck of a president they just don’t like (for whatever reasons; perceived or subconscious). This may happen to all presidents in some form or another, but this is a bit different. We are witnessing an imaginary government policy that has never and will never occur get attacked with ignorant vigor while at the same time people like William McGuire, ex-CEO of UnitedHealth Group, retire with over a billion dollars thanks to the successful efforts of their operational death panels as well as insurance industry lobbyists like Karen Ignagni

Misinformation works really well in America so let’s buttress this as best we can with some information. Here are the names of people that have faced free market death panels within their insurance companies; some lived to tell about it, some didn’t:

Nataline Sarkisyan

Robin Beaton

Michael Napientek

Patricia Reilling & Peggy Raddatz’s brother

Last June, a House Energy and Commerce Committee reported that out of just three insurance companies, 20,000 patients were denied between 2003 and 2007 because they had a preexisting condition or a family member had a bad medical history, or just because of a typo on their application.

The profit motive of capitalism and the hippocratic oath of medicine are diametrically opposed. Health Care Reform will stop death panels from operating, not increase them.

I absolutely believe in the Death Panels in the HC3200 Bill. And the HC3200 has many many losses of freedom included as well. Guaranteed the Private Insurance Companies need regulated and changes but the HC3200 bill is not the answer to that. This is Socialized medicine and there is a panel in place to approve or disapprove your treatments. As they run out of money to run this program, and they will, your Heath care will be rationed. And these things were openly admitted by Obama himmself saying well maybe grandma should just take a pain pill. Guess you dont love your grandma. Many, many lies are being told to cover over the contents of the Hc3200. That is why they tried so hard to pass it in 2 weeks before anyone could fine out what is in it.
With private insurance you still have choices. With Hc3200 you do not have any choices, you will lose your private Hc because that is part of the plan. No business is going to keep paying your HC when they can opt you out to HC3200. Nor can they stand to be taxed and penalized. The main thing about this particular is that it is part of the larger plan to change America into a Socialized country. We dont want it. Address the real problems of HC. Quit lying. ANd my name was high jacked and tweeted around with their URL-3rd Party Blogger. Even though I told this person I do not believe this. Another deceitful act. You should be proud.

Your comment is full of lies, sorry. I love my grandma a lot and Obama never admitted to death panels and said maybe grandma should just take a pill. There are about 10 million people in America, American citizens, who need health care badly and cannot get it because of a profit driven private insurance industry.

Your name being tweeted is a mistake of someone else’s and it mean absolutely nothing to me. In fact, you entire argument means absolutely nothing. I haven’t said one word about my opinion on the public option, you just assumed I support it. I think insurance companies are scum and they need to be watched. I provide concrete evidence in this article of why they need to be watched. You’ll never understand the insurance industry for what it is unless something happens to you personally and I understand that. You can’t comprehend or care about what doesn’t directly effect you. If it’s in your nature to worry about yourself and no one else, then fine, but the taxes you pay to defend the country and keep the traffic lights going already pays for seniors, children and the disabled to have health insurance whether you know about it or not. Everything seems to be working just fine.

Also, you are in dire need of a lesson on political theory if you think Obama is a Nazi or a Marxist or anything else extreme. You are the extremists in this situation. People like Obama and McCain exist in the center of the political spectrum. Save your extremist lies for a right wing blog site that will believe them.

Damn, Cathleen Stacey… The admin already tore you a new one but all I have to add is, “Do not be as smart as your TV”. I have friends & a family member denied by insurance THEY pay for on time & some completely denied coverage for pre-existing health conditions. You don’t deserve to die because you can’t afford health insurance & you shouldn’t go broke because you don’t have it.

Thanks for the support Patrick! We’re starting to get through to them that there’s no reason to protect the insurance companies. Protect yourselves and your rights, sure, but don’t protect the insurance companies that trample them.

    People Wake Up!

Congress has gov. health plans. Are they complaining? We will all not be able to afford health ins. in a few years. My family is constantly being denied coverage because of preexisting conditions.

All of Europe has coverage and college payed and we pay more.
